ULI’s Building Healthy Places Initiative is launching an effort to develop a Resource Hub for Social Equity in Real Estate, including a new publication tentatively titled Ten Principles for Embedding Social and Racial Equity in Real Estate Development. The publication will outline ten broad ideas to help guide real estate professionals as they incorporate social equity into the development process. Through a two-month engagement process, we are collecting case study recommendations, providing opportunities for conversations and interviews, and seeking expert insights on how developers, investors, and others are leveraging the development process to enhance social equity in communities.
ULI members and others working on social equity are encouraged to fill out the short form below by September 10th, 2021. All questions are optional. The ULI Building Healthy Places team will review all submissions and reach out for further information if necessary or to schedule an interview.
Survey participants will shape the scope and content of this publication and the resource hub, ensuring that it is relevant to the industry and can help guide future work on social equity. They may also be invited to a virtual workshop this fall, providing an opportunity to further engage on these issues, facilitate new connections, and learn from other experts.
